Weed citizens and local activists joined in a Rally for Our Shasta Water before the March 10 Weed City Council meeting. Roseburg Forest Products wants $1 million for only part of the water the city has used for 50 years!
Headwaters communities need to work together to push for policies that will safeguard their water resources, which are so important for the state of California.
The rally on September 26th focused on protecting the area's pristine and abundant waters from industrial extraction. As keynote speaker Chief Caleen Sisk of the Winnemem Wintu stated: "People can live without oil, they can live without gold, but nothing can live without water."

We stand with the concerned citizens who filed this lawsuit seeking compliance with the law, a full EIR and adequate, legally enforceable regulations to protect our local wells and aquifers from the harmful effects of unregulated water bottling.
