Public Lands

We oppose privatization and resource giveaways, while ensuring sound management of public lands for the benefit of citizens. For example, we currently oppose attacks on the Cascade-Siskiyou Monument, and advocate free and affordable outdoor recreation (strongly opposing user fees in places such as Bunny Flat on Mount Shasta). At the same time, we understand that visitor demands can put pressure on resources managers, and support adequate taxpayer funding of USFS and other agency activities to preserve and protect our environment.
