Weed citizens and local activists joined with Council Member Bob Hall in a Rally for Our Shasta Water before the March 10 Weed City Council meeting.

Council members and the public discussed the Memorandum of Agreement between the City and Roseburg Forest Products (RFP), proposing a $97,500 annual payment from the City to RFP to continue supplying a reduced flow of water crucial to supplying the city’s needs.
This is not a done deal, and failure to secure this source will create a water emergency for the city. Citizens will bear the cost and have to to cut back drastically as Roseburg continues to supply water instead to Crystal Geyser.
